One of my 2026 goals was to BE in the photos and not just be the photographer behind the camera.

So I chased down my aunt’s pet duck for half an hour to have it pose with me in these photos, I thanked her and let her go on her way afterwards + a collection of photographs I captured while on our recent trip to Aguascalientes, Mexico (my hubby’s hometown).

7 years into doing this job full time and I still can’t explain how happy I go home after sessions like this.

I don’t just stand there with a camera, I’m constantly interacting with you, I’m always directing. I’m watching how your little one reacts, what they’re naturally drawn to, and what I think you’ll all genuinely enjoy doing together. You just follow my lead, and have fun.

For this family session, that meant getting in the creek, playing in the water, cuddling their little guy, letting him snack all through the session and letting him experience nature around him.

You don’t need to know what to do in front of my camera. That’s my job. You just get to enjoy your family.

A sweet and powerful maternity session in my home studio with these two.

I grew up documenting weddings with my dad so I’ve always been a sucker for a good love story. I just love being around two people who are really, truly in love and getting to document a little piece of that.

These two were just that and more. So much love between them and now they get to add a whole new little person to it..

Baby Ren turns one- Mom and dad wanted to keep his birthday set-up lively and playful with his stuffies and toys and we also incorporated a bit of a Hawaiian theme because that’s where his mom and dad got married… I’m a suckers for all the cute personal details!!

About my Milestone sessions:
