🚩 WHY YOU PROBABLY SHOULDN’T HIRE JOSLYN DEWEY PHOTOGRAPHY FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY…

You probably shouldn’t hire us if…
🚩 You want your photographers to show up, take pictures, and mind their own business.
Absolutely not. 😂 Chelsea and I will be fixing your veil, fluffing your dress, pinning boutonnieres, hunting down Uncle Bob for family pictures, checking the timeline, and doing whatever needs done to keep your day moving.
🚩 You don’t want two new besties on your wedding day.
Because Chelsea and I are going to act like we’ve known you since birth. 😂 We’re hyping you up, laughing with you, calming the chaos, telling you how freaking GOOD you look, and probably tearing up right along with your mom.
🚩 You hate being told you look 🔥 approximately 84 times.
Sorry. Non-negotiable.
🚩 You don’t want to hear “WAITTTT. THE LIGHT.”
Because if the sky starts doing something magical, I will steal you for 10 minutes. Your dinner can wait. The sunset cannot. 😂🌅
🚩 You want stiff, awkward, stare-at-the-camera-and-say-cheese pictures.
Wrong girls. We want the belly laughs. The forehead kisses. The wind catching your veil. The champagne flying everywhere. Your grandma tearing up. Your bridesmaids losing it on the dance floor. The little moments you didn’t even know happened.
🚩 You’d prefer your photographer not get emotionally invested in your life.
Unfortunately, I will. 😂 I’ve spent months talking to you, planning with you, hearing about your people and getting excited about your day. So yes, there is a very real possibility I’ll be crying behind my camera during your first dance.
🚩 You don’t want someone keeping an eye on the timeline so YOU don’t have to.
Because you have one job on your wedding day: GET MARRIED. 🥂
We’ll help with the rest.
🚩 You don’t want sneak peeks while you’re still riding that just-married high.
Because I’m entirely too impatient to keep them to myself. 🤭
🚩 You only care about the “Pinterest perfect” moments.
Because I’m watching for everything else, too. Dad seeing you in your dress. Mom fixing your necklace. Your flower girl doing something silly during the ceremony. 😂 Grandpa on the dance floor. Your husband looking at you when you aren’t paying attention. Those are the ones.
And finally…
🚩 You definitely shouldn’t hire Joslyn Dewey Photography if you just want someone with a camera.
Because that’s not really what we do.
We want you to look back at your photos 20 years from now and remember how it felt.
The nerves.
The chaos.
The belly laughs.
The happy tears.
The people.
The party.
The holy crap, WE’RE MARRIED feeling. 🤍
And somewhere in the middle of all of it, you’ll probably find Chelsea and me looking exactly like this 👆🏻😂 — having entirely too much fun and acting like we were invited to the wedding instead of hired to photograph it.
