Megan and Dan’s engagement session was so much fun! Megan wanted to do the session on her grandma’s farm, which is right down the road from where both she and Dan grew up. It was also fitting since Dan proposed to Megan at the Field of Dreams in Iowa!

The same week 3 years ago we had the opportunity to photograph Michelle’s daughter’s wedding, so it was extra awesome when Michelle asked us to do hers as well! We dodged a bit of rain in the afternoon but then it was a beautiful rest of the day for her and Mike!

If rain on your wedding day is good luck, then a tornado warning, severe thunderstorm, hail, torrential downpours, having to flip your cocktail hour before your ceremony, and being without power for several hours should be worth 5 lifetimes of good luck for Kristen and Nathan! Despite all the obstacles, it was still a beautiful day and these two now have a great story to tell!
