Announcement: After 24 years of business, I am hanging up my camera. (Woah, that’s weird to say.)
Wow, what a ride this has been. My sincere gratitude & heartfelt thanks go out to all of you for your support throughout the years. So many of you started off as my clients, and I now consider you friends. Thank you for hiring me, and then hiring me again & again, referring me to your friends, following me on social media, and sharing my posts. You all made MAB Photography successful.
To Doug & Missy, my 1st clients ever - thank you for trusting me to capture your special day in photographs. I am forever grateful to you guys for taking a chance on me. To my dear friends who always made it a point to ask me how my business was going - you have no idea how much this meant to me. To my best friend, Trish - we took our 1st photography class together! You have always been my sounding board, and thank you for answering my phone call while on my way to photograph every single wedding - a tradition that could not be broken. To my 1st ever friend, Kelleen - thank you for creating my memorable logo, which has been recognized by all. To the St. James community - I have watched your families grow through my lens for First Communions, 8th grade graduations, team sports, and family photos. I’ve taken great pride in your kids’ accomplishments, just like a proud aunt. To the real estate agents - you gave me a “day job”, photographing nearly a thousand properties. Oh, the stories I could tell. To my students - from my workshops, enrichment classes, and Girl Scout troops - I have loved sharing my craft with you, and watching you expand your creativity with your learnings. To my kids - you have only known me as a photography business owner, so this will be different for you, too. Thank you for putting up with me stopping traffic for the perfect shot, and for addressing hundreds of Christmas card envelopes every year. (FYI - my kids are all adults now, so no more photo Christmas cards from us.) To my mom - my loyal, unpaid assistant & greatest cheerleader. Thank you for tagging along on team photo days & for keeping things super organized. I know that you are going to miss this so much. To Dennis - thank you for always saying yes to everything, for loading & unloading my car a million times, and most importantly, for rubbing on my shoulders while I edit nearly every evening.
Please keep sending me your photos - ones that I’ve taken, ones that you’ve hung on your walls, as well as updated ones, too. Feel free to attach photos in the comments. They all make me smile.
I’m excited & ready for this new journey. If you’re ever downtown & want to meet for lunch, give me a ring. The big question is what will I do now that my evenings & weekends are free?!
It’s been an honor & a privilege. Signing off (after my shoots today & tomorrow!).
Love,
Michelle
