We love Zip’s and are so sad for what they are going through. Please support them when they reopen!
Recent severe flooding in Mt. Lookout hit our community hard, and unfortunately, our long-time volunteer and rescue partner Mike Burke, owner of Zip's Cafe Mt. Lookout, was among those impacted by the storm.
Despite dealing with flood cleanup and temporary closure at his own business, Mike did what Mike always does—he thought of others first. Not only did he show up for his regular Monday volunteer shift, but he also donated over 1,200 pounds of perishable food (including 500+ lbs of ground beef/protein) to ensure none of it went to waste and that families in our community would stay fed.
Mike has been showing up for Cincinnati for years. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
As Zip’s Cafe works to clean up, dry out, and reopen their doors, please keep them in mind. Go grab a Zip Burger, order takeout, and flood them with love and support as soon as they’re back up and running! 🍔✨
Let’s rally around the people who always hold down our city. Cheers to you, Mike!
