I had an absolutely brilliant morning watching the harrier hens and their aerial acrobatics at Huffman Prairie Flying Field, where the Wright brothers tested their aircraft.

Sometimes you've no idea what you've caught on your camera until you see it on your computer screen some days later.

In this case, I knew these eastern bluebirds were hunting insects on the fly in the Big Meadows section of Shenandoah National Park. In my wildest dreams, I didn't think I'd get some shots including the insects!

The West Virginia Wildlife Center is an amazing place where you can see magnificent creatures rather easily. The downside is that occasionally you can't avoid fencing interfering in your shot.

I've never done this before, but this was a good opportunity to task AI with removing some of the manmade ugliness - fencing, guard rails, etc. Here you can see my original shot, followed by the same shot cleaned up by AI. Pretty amazing stuff.

I'm clearly identifying these shots as AI-edited, and I don't intend to do this on a regular basis. This seemed to me like a good use of the tool.
