A little look into this evening’s family session

A year ago, I got to meet Abby & Andru during their maternity session while they were visiting back home in Florida. This time, I got the honor of meeting their sweet baby girl and capturing this new chapter for their little family.

What makes these photos even more special is that this pose was originally created during their maternity session, and tonight, we recreated it again, only this time with all three of them.

Sweet girl’s face isn’t shown in these images because baby safety and respecting our parents’ wishes will always come first here, with nothing but love and understanding. But trust me when I say she had the biggest smile during this moment, and it made this photo feel even more perfect.

Sweet Miss Ellie is turning O N E.

Just a year ago, I met Brooke & Ian for their maternity session, and now here we are celebrating their beautiful baby girl’s very first birthday. Watching my clients grow through these seasons of life will always be one of the greatest parts of what I do.

Originally, I had another photo picked out to be the final teaser from this beautiful maternity session… but then I changed my mind.

Because this photograph speaks louder than almost any other.

And what makes it even more special? This moment was entirely dad-to-be’s idea. Throughout the session, he kept throwing out little visions and photo ideas he wanted to see, but one he mentioned more than once was this, his beautiful wife holding a sunflower up to her face.

A new season in bloom.
New life being created, too.

During her solo shots, he kept making her laugh while he stood there completely in awe of her beauty, and honestly… that’s real love. The kind that’s loud even in quiet moments. The constant words of affirmation. Being each other’s biggest hype person. The way he looked at her all evening said everything without needing to say much at all.

And somehow, this photograph captured every bit of that.

One thing about me? I LOVE giving my couples little prompts or silly tasks during sessions because that’s where the real magic happens…the authentic smiles, the uncontrollable laughter, the moments that actually feel like them.

Friday evening with Ashlyn & Dalton did not disappoint. While Dalton held Ashlyn in his arms, I told him to whisper something funny in her ear…and judging by her reaction, I just KNOW it had to be good. 😂

And in that exact moment, we captured this photo. Genuine laughter, pure happiness, and a memory that feels so effortlessly them.
