Between the Grand Hotel, the Secret Garden, perfect bright sunny warm weather, + finding quiet moments in the middle of the island’s craaaazy summer rush, this afternoon was one I’ll never forget.

Alison + Jake… these twooo!

We trusted the process as we wandered Mackinac Island (yesterday seemed like peak tourist season, I might say), weaving through endless crowds and stopping all over to catch the island beauty. A little patience + laughter.. somehow the busiest day still felt slow and calm.

Can’t wait to do it all again on their wedding day. 🥰💕

Today’s Michigan heat feels suspiciously Vegas-coded.

Exactly one year ago, these two said “I do” in the desert (and in a record store… the coolest experience), and somehow it’s already been a year!!

Before they stepped into marriage, their family and closest friends gathered around them, laid hands on them, and prayed over their future together.

There is something so powerful about being surrounded by people who love you, support you, and invite God into the foundation of your marriage. These quiet moments often become some of the most meaningful.

A beautiful reminder that marriage isn't meant to be walked alone. I highly recommend making space for this on your wedding day. ✨
