Elain Brown Boiography
With over a decade of dedicated service at the Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter, I have built my career around a passion for animal welfare and creative expression. From 2013 to 2023, I served as the transport coordinator, ensuring the safe relocation of countless dogs to loving homes and rescues. My journey into photography began at the shelter, where I captured portraits of shelter dogs to help increase their chances of adoption and rescue selection.
I pursued formal education in photography at North Georgia Technical College, graduating in May 2025 with an Associate Degree in Photography. That same year, I was honored with a silver medal at the statewide Skills USA competition, recognizing my technical skills and artistic vision.
My education at NGTC expanded my photographic vision to be very, as my sister would say, genre fluid. I actually enjoy photographing people, too!
This is my portfolio. Yes, it is dog heavy, but I hope you enjoy it!

Yes, I got up REALLY early to attend a Foothills Photography outing to Minihaha and Crow Creek Falls.
I met some really nice, knowledgeable photographers.
Photographing the falls was fun, but I prefer the photos with people in them!

Last Friday, I had the opportunity to photograph this. adorable chonk of a dog. His name is Thor.
It was a rainy, uncooperative day, but Brandi Paul and I got some pics that captured his personality!
