Some homes already feel like they’ve lived a hundred lives.

Grace and David are at the very beginning of theirs in this one.

An old home with grand rooms, hidden little details and years of history already tucked into its walls. Slowly, they’ll make it theirs. A barn out back. Rooms that change as their family does. Holidays, ordinary Tuesdays, people gathered around the table, all the things that haven’t happened yet.

And yesterday, they filled it with their people.

Handwritten notes at every place, dinner at home, glasses raised, a lot of laughter and friends who know them beyond just this chapter. They were married a little while ago, but this was their chance to celebrate it here, in the place where so much of their life is still waiting to happen.

I photograph a lot of beautiful places, but I think I’ll always have a soft spot for celebrations like this. When the place itself means something. When everyone there means something. When you can almost feel that someday they’ll walk through these same rooms and remember this was one of the very first memories they made here.

What a privilege it is to be invited back into a family’s life over and over again. I’ve photographed Lauren and her family for years, so getting to photograph her at this age felt especially sweet.

Senior year is such a wild little window of time. You’re still so much of the girl you’ve always been, while getting your first glimpse at the woman you’re becoming. So much familiarity mixed with so much possibility.

Watching her grow into this beautiful, confident girl has been a joy, and I’m so excited for the season she’s stepping into.

This week, these ladies, these sights. A core memory in every sense.

The return of the wedding portrait.

There was a time when brides would dress separately from their wedding day simply to have their portrait made. I think there is something really beautiful about giving photographs that kind of space again.

Only now, the studio can be anywhere in the world.

Maybe the wedding is at home because Grandma needs to be there, but you’ve always dreamed of Paris. So you bring the dress, your love, and your photographer and go.

It’s beyond an engagement session. All of the editorial glam mixed with the sweet, candid moments. Time to make everything you’ve dreamed of, where you’ve dreamed of it, without asking a wedding day timeline to make room for it.

Paris seemed like a beautiful place to begin.

Lake Como through the lens of film. When I tell you there is a depth here that brings me back, you just have to believe me. As the person who experienced these moments and saw them with my own eyes receiving these moments back from a lab did so much more in transporting me than any other photos I took. Some of my favorite family photos were taken on film that are printed, sitting on my desk waiting to go in frames. Beyond the faces and feelings, I fell in love with the architecture of Italy. It inspires me in so many new ways every single time. Traveling to a new country allows me to immerse your wedding album in the culture and feeling of it all.

This is what it’s all about. The ones you love, the joy and happiness that comes together when everyone is in the same room.
Celebrating Molly + Luke was and will always be effortless. The night before you say β€œI do” should be surrounded by the roads that brought you to one another and that’s exactly who everyone in this room was. The old stories, the laughter and the anticipation for what’s to come. Our family is so lucky to now have Luke , truly it’s like he has always been here. I love you so much Molly and will be cheering you both on forever 🫢🏻

A moment for the little things created with intention. What goes into design that leaves you as a guest feeling immersed and completely thought of? It’s a million small things that go into telling one very large movement that surrounds you throughout the day. The trend isn’t big and better. It’s purpose and reason and because the heart of intention is in the design of your day- it, in turn, feels bigger and better. I love storytelling the parts of the day whose stories actually started long before. Your love story yes, but also the hours of thought planning and ex*****on that was built with such care. It’s inspiring to photograph.
