Don't breathe the air Clarksburg! The current air quality index is a very unhealthy 244 😳 I probably took two years off my life getting these photos, but I'm here for you! Between the smoke from the Canadian wildfires and the dust from all of the road construction, today is probably a good day to stay inside as much as possible!

There was a fiery debate at the City of Clarksburg, WV city council meeting a couple of weeks ago on how to spend taxpayer money concerning The Waldo Hotel. I'll leave that to the politicians - I'm sure they know best 😂 I'll just continue to photograph this beautiful giant and hopefully you can join me in admiring the amazing craftsmanship put into this historic hotel that has stood the test of time for over 120 years now. Even the vegetation is flourishing in this heat! As always, feel free to follow and share this video with someone you think might enjoy it!

Happy 250th birthday USA! I got off work just in time for the fireworks show last night, set my camera up in the Sam's Club parking lot, and had a great view of the show! Thank you to the managers and associates at Sam's Club in Clarksburg, WV for opening their parking lot for everyone to enjoy the fireworks, playing great music, and selling food, snacks, and drinks with the proceeds going to the Children's Miracle Network - a fantastic cause and a fun event to celebrate America's birthday 🇺🇸 And finally, what an amazing fireworks display by City of Bridgeport WV - what a show! I was around for the 200th birthday in 1976, made it to the 250th this year, but not sure yet about the 300th 😂

It's West Virginia Day! Happy 163rd birthday to the most beautiful state in the union! Take a moment to look around today and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us in every part of the state. Do something today to make it even more beautiful...or at the very least, don't do anything to make it less beautiful!

X's, O's, and Arrows photography project...
A photography challenge to practice opening your eyes to your surroundings. The goal was to find as many X's, O's, and arrows in one hour, within a certain boundary, while incorporating something of interest in the background (or at least just an interesting photo subject), and very little editing (limited to one minute per photo), and in square (1x1) format. These photos won't win any awards, but it was a fun exercise to learn to really see what we walk or drive past every day.
