guys, do you WANT to get your senior pictures taken? probably not.

but you know what helps?

a location that you know... and a hobby that you love 🐠

i still need to go back in the archives and find photos of chase from when he was really little. i literally have photographic proof of him and his brother growing up at this park.

but the fishing.... that's definitely his thing 🎣

chase requested we shoot at one of his favorite lakes. he actually made my job harder because he kept talking... and turning his back to cast... over and over 🤣 but totally worth it to see how much he just loves it.

tuesday - NO rain = sun + 165 degrees 🥵

but eddie was a true champ. he looks completely unaffected by the weather (linen 🙌🏼). and just rolled with my incessant "ooh...just one more spot"

me, on the other hand? sweaty disaster 🤣

I worked with his older sister 2 years ago... now it's his turn.

eddie crushed the volleyball portion of his session 🏐 the sport has been a huge part of his life for the last four years and was the very first thing mentioned when we talked about what to feature in his photos.

not because i'm dodging. but because really.... it depends.

here are a few of my local favorites... and WHY:

• independence oaks — big families, pets, kids who need to run
• downtown clarkston / depot park — small-town charm, lots of variety
• the garden of healing — quiet, brick paths, smaller families
• graffiti alley in pontiac — color, grit and something unexpected
• your own backyard — zero logistics, maximum comfort

making the most of this 1st day of school morning with a peek from last night 📸

i have been with this family since their oldest was tiny, and the family keeps on growing. at 6 and 2, these boys certainly kept me moving last night!!

when you are two, standing still is NOT an option

you much prefer:

running
jumping
splashing
throwing rocks
biting your brother
and showing your butt to the camera : )

but i love all of it ❤
