The blossoms have come and gone, and I’ve been soaking in the sweetest last couple of weeks of onboarding so many lovely families for summer and fall sessions 🤍✨

It’s going to be a beautifully busy summer ahead, and honestly, I couldn’t be more excited to experience it all with my baby and toddler by my side. These seasons of life pass so quickly, which makes documenting them feel even more meaningful to me lately.

One of my favorite parts of this experience is hopping on design calls together and intentionally planning every session around your family, your story, and the feeling you want your images to hold years from now. From dreamy locations and styling to how you want to bring your imagery to life through albums, frames, and heirlooms — every detail is created with purpose and heart.

Friends… I swear I blinked and it’s already April. Four months postpartum with two little ones at home, and I keep coming back to how time can feel so slow and so fast all at once. The days are full—messy, beautiful, exhausting—and somehow I already find myself missing versions of them that just passed. Tiny fingers, sleepy stretches, the weight of them in my arms… it’s all changing right in front of me. My baby girl does NOT want to do anything besides sit up in my lap all day. 🙃

This second postpartum season has looked so different than the first, and I’m deeply grateful for the friends and family who have shown up—dropping off meals, checking in, carrying us in the small, meaningful ways. The start of 2026 brought a few unexpected challenges and some health struggles, but I’m holding onto hope (and this sunshine) and dreaming about getting my hands in the garden again soon.

The last few months I’ve photographed the most adorable newborns and families. As much as I adore photographing your sessions, there is nothing that describes how wonderful it feels to hand deliver your albums and frames that I know will be cherished more and more throughout the years to come. 🥹

More than ever, this season has reminded me why I do what I do—because these moments and sweet baby details deserve to be held onto, not just remembered.

A little reminder of what summer feels like for your feed today. ☀️

Throwing it back to Jake and Nissa’s engagement session last June at Pomme de Terre Park in Morris, Minnesota. Such a fun evening exploring, laughing, and soaking up the golden light together. ✨

They just received their beautiful 10x10 heirloom wedding album in the mail from their December wedding day that my associate team captured. 🥹

There is nothing better than seeing your memories come to life in print and reliving those moments all over again. 🤍

Here’s the truth most photographers don’t talk about…🫣

So many beautiful photos end up buried on our phones.

Thousands of images.
A few posted online.
Maybe one or two printed.

And then life moves on.

Think about it. How many photos are on your phone from “that mini session” that never made it into your wall?

Trust me, when your images become artwork on your walls, something different happens.

Your baby grows up walking past that photo every day… seeing how loved they were before they were even born. 🥹

Your kids see their story displayed in their home. It helps children develop higher self-esteem and a stronger sense of security to know “I belong here. I matter.”

And you?
You’ll catch yourself walking by and just pausing for a moment… staring at that tiny little bump, those newborn fingers, that stage of life that somehow already feels like yesterday.

No scrolling required.

And I’ll be honest about something else I see happen all the time…

One of the questions I get asked most often is “What is a newborn session actually like?”

The biggest thing to know is that it’s designed to be slow, calm, and baby-led.

Newborn sessions typically take place within the first 2–3 weeks after baby arrives (I also offer fresh 48 hospital sessions too!), when babies are naturally sleepier and still curl up into those sweet little positions.

When you arrive, everything is already prepared for you.

Soft wraps, neutral tones, and a warm, peaceful space so baby stays comfortable. Exclusive client closet access for mama & babies.

And there’s absolutely no rush.

We take breaks for feeding.
We pause for diaper changes.
We snuggle baby when they need it.

Because the goal isn’t expecting perfection from you or your baby.

The goal is capturing the tiny details you never want to forget:

Those little fingers wrapped around yours.
The way your baby fits perfectly on your chest.
The sleepy stretches and soft yawns.

Let ME handle creating imagery that makes you feel sentimental and so grateful you have keepsake reminders of these fleeting moments.

Introducing our rainbow baby— Evelyn Esther 🌈

She arrived early December, in the quiet hours of the night — fast, unmedicated, deeply redemptive, and not to mention all within 4 hours.

After my firstborn’s NICU experience and my traumatic journey with PPSD (pelvic separation), her birth felt like a redemptive healing.

Evelyn Esther means chosen and courageous, with a God‑given purpose — for such a time as this. Esther (also my grandma’s name) has always been my favorite Bible story. She saved her people. She was courageous — a reminder that God equips each of us for the calling He has placed in each of our lives.

We’re soaking in newborn snuggles at home, while falling more in love with little sissy by the minute. 🤍

Forever grateful to for Jayne and Dakota for capturing our studio and in-home newborn sessions, and for giving us these photos to forever cherish.
