Week One AOTW— Sonny Diehl

WHEN DID YOU START PLAYING VOLLEYBALL?
I started playing in 5th grade doing elementary volleyball down at the clearfield ymca.

WHY DO YOU PLAY VOLLEYBALL?
I play volleyball because it is a super fun sport. It helps me stay conditioned throughout the year, and helps with different aspects of basketball too. I have made so many good friends and learned so much from it.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY ABOUT VOLLEYBALL?
My favorite memory from volleyball would have to be beating Philipsburg in 5 sets my sophomore year at home. A close second would be going to OLSH every year with my team.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR YOUNGER SELF, KNOWING WHAT YOU KNOW NOW?
I would tell my younger self to enjoy it in the moment because it really goes by fast. Put in the work, show up for yourself and your team, and do not be so hard on yourself.
