Captured Views Carol Dammann is a self-taught photographer based in Central Minnesota, specialized in newborn, chil It is something that I can do any time, any place.

I enjoy photography because it has given me the opportunity to share in people's most special moments. Working with people & capturing moments & emotions so that they will not be forgotten. It has allowed me to to capture moments in my own life that I don't want to forget. It has caused me to see the world around me with fresh eyes every single day. I love the artistic freedom that it gives me; I

love to tell a story. I love to capture that moment in time. I love to look back and remember. I love the importance of photos throughout our lives. I love that it's a journey that travels with you. I love the emotions it evokes in people when they look at photos. I love capturing "life as it happens." I love that I can document the most important to most simple. Photography gives me the ability to capture scenes from my life to remember. Photography is a way to document the lives of my children, and that alone is worth learning all I can about it. And now I have the great joy of documenting the lives of my grandkids. Kids are an amazing photographic subject. They see the world differently, and often express a lot more love & emotions than adults. Being able to capture that is both a fantastic photographic challenge, and a profound learning experience. Photographs let you travel through time. they can bring you back to a moment that you experience, and you can remember just how you felt. With all the beauty, joy, love, connection, variety, history, adventure, movement, emotion, and awesomeness that makes up life, how could you not want to get out there & capture it, so with camera in hand, I go forth.
