I’ve made the decision to step away from wedding photography for the foreseeable future. Weddings have been such a meaningful part of my photography journey. I’ve had the privilege of standing beside so many couples on one of the biggest days of their lives, documenting the nerves before the ceremony, the happy tears, the laughter, the families coming together and all of those tiny moments happening in between. Being trusted with those memories has never been something I’ve taken lightly and I am incredibly grateful to every couple who has allowed me to be part of their story. Sometimes we reach a point where we realize it’s time to make room for a different chapter. I’ll still be photographing the families, children, seniors, dancers, creative sessions and all of the beautiful, wonderfully weird things that have made me fall in love with photography over and over again, for now. This means, I won’t be accepting new wedding bookings. To the couples whose wedding days I’ve photographed over the years, thank you. Thank you for trusting me with your memories, inviting me into your families and letting my photographs become a tiny piece of your history. It has truly been an honor. ❤️

Today I want to talk to y'all about something that's been on my mind. Until further notice, I won't be featuring children on this page.
Here's the thing, I love photographing families. I love capturing those tiny, fleeting moments of childhood that grow up faster than any of us are ready for. That's not changing, but the world doesn't always protect kids the way it should and their images deserve more care than the possibilityof them being taken from somewhere online. I'd rather guard their innocence than risk it for content.
If you've booked a family or kids session with me, don't worry one bit your gallery is still yours, delivered privately, just like always. This is only about what gets posted publicly.
Y'all, protecting the people we love is worth more than a full feed. Thank you for understanding. 💛

For the first time in a very long time, I was able to devote an entire summer break to my family and myself. We were able to spend precious time together. Allowing ourselves to slow down was what we all needed.
This past year has been so full of life-changing events: the loss of loved ones, making difficult choices as a family about the future, moving to a new home and career decisions. For years, it has been a constant blur of activity and life was chaotic. Our daily life was filled to the brim, but I was missing my family and I was losing myself.
This break, we worked on us, on communication, on being present, on enjoying the company of each other and not taking time for granted. I am so thankful for this special time that we have spent during this summer.
It was so imperative for healing, something it felt like we had put on pause and didn't allow ourselves to do. When you slow down, you can see what is most important and learn what becomes layers of yourself that you shed for growth to take place.
Thank you for allowing me to take this time. It will never be forgotten and I will treasure it. The kids, Justin and I needed this so much.
Now school is getting ready to begin, BBQ smoke is rolling, camera batteries are charging and new business opportunities are beginning. We look forward to the coming adventure with full hearts and a little more sleep than usual.

Did you know Cleburne has its own community theater right here in town!? I had the pleasure of seeing their most recent production, Anne of Green Gables, directed by the wonderfully talented Taffy Geisel. If you missed it, you truly missed out, but don't worry, they're already preparing their next lineup of plays and musicals.
I'm so excited to be part of the board of directors, which means I get to experience these shows behind the scenes as well as watching the final result come together on stage. So much time, hard work, and dedication goes into every show, from the cast to the crew. Community theater only thrives because of the support of our wonderful community, so spread the word and don't miss the next one!
Hope to see you there. I'll even save you a seat. 💕

Wow, what a month! After a wonderful week at camp, then coming home to continue unpacking and settling into our new house, I'm slowly getting back into the rhythm of everyday life. I've been catching up on emails and checking things off my to-do list. Then I opened the BEST kind of email... one that made me do a happy dance!
