Did you know Cleburne has its own community theater right here in town!? I had the pleasure of seeing their most recent production, Anne of Green Gables, directed by the wonderfully talented Taffy Geisel. If you missed it, you truly missed out, but don't worry, they're already preparing their next lineup of plays and musicals.
I'm so excited to be part of the board of directors, which means I get to experience these shows behind the scenes as well as watching the final result come together on stage. So much time, hard work, and dedication goes into every show, from the cast to the crew. Community theater only thrives because of the support of our wonderful community, so spread the word and don't miss the next one!

Wow, what a month! After a wonderful week at camp, then coming home to continue unpacking and settling into our new house, I'm slowly getting back into the rhythm of everyday life. I've been catching up on emails and checking things off my to-do list. Then I opened the BEST kind of email... one that made me do a happy dance!

I don't know which of us was more excited or who laughed most. We had so much fun that walking 4 miles was completely under the radar! My cheeks were hurting after this one for sure! Jada, You are amazing and it should be illegal to have that much fun...glad it isn't though 😅 Congratulations , Honey!

Recently I was lucky enough to hang out with Heather Aikman for the afternoon and check out some behind the scenes with Southern Joy Bakery and Bistro, conveniently located right in the heart of Historic Downtown Cleburne. They create delicious meals and treats which keep their guests coming back for more. They bake with love and fill each bite with Southern...well...Joy!
