I had some goals heading into 2026, but leading a media team wasn’t on my bingo card. Thank you and for the opportunity to step outside of my comfort zone as a photographer and step into the role as a media director for the weekend.
I’m beyond proud of what the team was able to do this weekend. This year’s media team was comprised entirely of volunteers, many of whom had never captured competitive fitness before. They too stepped outside of their comfort zones and far exceeded any expectations I had coming into the weekend.
I’ve only been in the media space a short time, but in that time I’ve met incredible humans and traveled to some exciting events. I’ve gotten many opportunities because I put myself out there and people took a chance on me. I’m forever grateful for those opportunities.
After this weekend, my biggest take away is that I hope I can be that person for others when I’m able and provide opportunities to those who put themselves out there.
