It’s been a little quiet around here lately, but behind the scenes, there’s been a LOT of change. 📸
Interestingly, much of my focus hasn’t actually been on taking more photos.
I’ve been focused on the business behind the photography — and asking myself one really important question:
How can I serve my clients better?
What do I want someone to experience when they work with me? What do I want to be known for as a photographer? And what do I need to build now to get there?
Because I don’t want to be someone who simply picks up a camera and snaps a good photo.
“Good enough” has never really interested me.
I want to understand my craft. I want to know my lighting. I want to become exceptional at coaching the person in front of my camera. And I want to create an experience where my clients know they’re being taken care of from the moment they walk in until they see their finished images.
This quiet season has included a lot of learning, planning, refining, and some pretty big personal and business transitions.
One of those transitions?
I’ve moved — and I officially have a private home studio. 🥳📸
I’ve been getting everything set up and making the space my own, and I’m REALLY excited about what having a dedicated, controlled studio environment is going to allow me to create for my clients.
I’ll give you a little behind-the-scenes look at the new studio soon. 👀
For now, just know…
Quiet definitely hasn’t meant still.
I’ve been building. ❤️
