Tell me what hobbies you enjoy!

I love all forms of creativity, not just what I get to capture from behind my camera. Most recently, I’ve fallen in love with sewing. My daughter has been asking (for longer than I’d like to admit) for a Coat of Many Colors and a Bible cover. So, I finally got around to taking a cutter quilt and bringing it back to life. I also made me a matching sweatshirt so we can match this fall.

As a result of this ruling, I am carefully considering how I will post pictures of children moving forward. I think faceless photos (shots of their backs, etc) is how I will post your sneak peeks from now on. I always send you sneaks first and then re-ask permission to post your precious babies, but now I’m going to make it a part of my business practice to not post their beautiful little faces at all. ❤️

I am extremely disappointed in this ruling. I cannot believe the Framers of our Constitution and Bill of Rights ever intended for the First Amendment to protect the possession of obscene, AI-generated images depicting children being sexually abused.

Last year, I authored and carried Senate Bill 398. It would have made it a serious crime to use artificial intelligence to create obscene, fake images of real people without their consent, including children. It also addressed AI programs that send obscene material to children. The penalties were severe... up to 10 years for images of an adult and up to 20 years for images of a child.

This was not a partisan issue. SB 398 passed the Georgia Senate 48–1. Every Republican who voted supported it, as did all but one Democrat. Unfortunately, the House substantially weakened the bill, the Senate rejected those changes, and it did not become law.

There should be no legal safe harbor for this kind of material, especially in Georgia. We are going to start working now on new legislation to address this ruling, close every loophole we legally can, and protect Georgia’s children. I hope to get this bill across as soon as we go back into session in January.

I had pleasure of capturing the sweetest little back yard wedding, baby dedication, and baptism today. It was such a blessing to see this family come together and make promises for forever- not just in marriage, but to God in both their walk with Him and how they are choosing to raise their children.

Every year I get the privilege of capturing The Easton Foundation's annual Battle of the Heroes football game. This game brings communities together for our kids and it is so needed.

If you've never heard of the foundation, I highly recommend looking into them. They are near and dear to me and do so much good in Habersham and surrounding counties every year. They are here to help our community's most vulnerable- our kids (0-19, I believe). They help with everything from school supplies, sports, scholarships, to helping a family lay a loved one to rest. It truly is a foundation worth supporting!

And be sure to follow their page so you can attend next years game! Hall County might have won this year, but I'm pulling for Banks and Habersham to make a comeback next year!
