A wall that isn’t quite. Windows well without. Doorways that don’t.

I made a pattern using the pier arches of the Veterans Memorial Bridge. I blended the Cleveland skyline with that pattern. There’s an MC Escher feel to it as your eyes work hard to make sense of reality in impossible dimension.

TLDR: I think it’s cool.

One step at a time.

Happy 230 years to the city whose history tells the story of a hero to believe in. We know the origin, the self discovery and rise. The fall and the corruption that led to becoming a punchline known worldwide as the mistake on the lake. Then the part of looking inward finding the courage to rise above and reinvent before “The Return.”

I don’t know about you, but the city has been giving vibes of The Return in big ways lately. Proud and inspired to call Cleveland, HOME. This place makes me excited about the future.

The Sun came to Cleveland with purpose today. This day earned its name today.

And He proclaimed, “Make Light!”
Sauntering in, the Sun 🌞 declared, “Hold my beer.”
The light BURST! Piercing the sky with daggers full of life.
And He was content.
And the Sun thought, “Mhmmm 😎”

Sneak peek at some WIP (works in progress). Some of these I just started, others, I’m revisiting after months and years.

The last one is the newest and made entirely of photos I took from a recent visit to … I’m loving it and can’t wait to see it evolve!

For me, I’m not sure I ever consider a piece “finished.” I do have “stopping points” but I love being able to set them aside, let time pass, then come back with fresh eyes and new skills and see where things go.
