Superfletch

Superfletch Superfletch is where I will showcase my recent work and goings on. Check back often to see My name is Gary Fletcher. I am many things.

I'm a son, a brother, a husband, an artist. a computer techno geek, a skydiver, an instructor, a videographer and a PHOTOGRAPHER. I've been taking photographs since before I started high school. No matter which facet of life I was in, I always had a camera nearby. No matter what direction I took in life, I've tried to incorporate photography in it somehow. Much of these days the camera is strapped

to my head as I'm filming students making their first skydives or performing milestones in their skydiving adventures. However when I'm on the ground I take a lot of photos too. For years everyone I know has been telling me that I should start a photography business, not just while I was skydiving. I've finally decided to take a step in that direction with a little shove from my ever supportive wife, Penny. Welcome to Superfletch owned and operated by myself and my wife. Where I handle all the technical aspects of transforming a scene into a beautiful photograph, my wife is my right hand and helps with the posing and ideas for setting the scene. Together we would love to capture and present "YOUR" special moments to all your friends and family.

I've only broke my camera out 7 times this year. I've been known to use it several times a week. 7 times isn't even once a month. I really need to get back on track. Anyway, I was sitting around and just decided to grab it and play with it a bit. My living room isn't very bright. Certainly not bright enough to get good handheld photos but I thought I would give it a shot. I also wanted to play with the macro lens a bit so I shot some photos of the Christmas ornaments. We have A LOT of ornaments on our tree. I could sit there for hours trying to shoot each one, so this is only a sample. I tried to get the dogs to sit for photos but that was a chore all by itself. Lily wouldn't even look at me once straight on. She mostly looked away from me the whole time and would barely turn her head to me enough to give me the stink eye side eye. I guess we're gonna have to start working on that because I want lots more photos of the girls and they're just going to have to learn to cooperate. Denver was much better but still could use some work herself. And being black, she's much harder to shoot in low light. The whole thing was a learning experience. What I need to do is add my own light and shoot them right. Perhaps a project after Thanksgiving.

My friends, The Lipes family, asked me to come photograph their newest addition. William Scott made his debut a couple of weeks ago and the family is over the moon about it. Here were a handful of my favorites from the day.

I ran into a couple of mink yesterday so I just sat down and started snapping photos. First time I've ever seen one in the wild and thankfully I had my camera with me. SO AWESOME!

Crossed paths with this little dude today. First one I've ever seen. There were actually two but I couldn't get a photo of them together. It was pretty cool. I hung out with them about 20 minutes. I wasn't even aware Missouri had mink. Made my week.

I hope this bunny nose makes you smile like it did me. 🥰
