"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain

We spent a few days on a racehorse breeding ranch and parked our camper out in the giant green field surrounded by the most spectacular thoroughbred broodmares and yearlings. These fluffy little babes are going on to become some stunning racers in a few years. After winning them over with some carrots they became enamored with us, especially the strange human in a chair who’s hair was perfect height for nibbling on.

We had breakfast in this open-air kitchen the other day and it was as wonderful as you can imagine. When it comes to cooking, Penny is hands down the most amazing van life chef ever, and yes I am extremely lucky to have her! We are hoping to catch sight of alligators as we wind our way through the Everglades, because we have been in Florida for36 days now and we still haven't seen a single one!

So there’s this interesting thing in Florida about wild veiled chameleons. They’re considered an invasive species because they aren’t native to Florida, so if you find one, you can pick it up and keep it. Once you’ve taken the chameleon, it’s then illegal to return it back to the wild because it’s considered an exotic species and it’s against the law to release exotics in Florida. Crazy, right??⠀
We got to meet some of these incredible chameleons while visiting a herpetologist recently.

We’ve gone a bit quiet on here recently. Tends to be the way for us a bit. We have bursts of creative energy, excited to share adventures and then at other times we just feel like being a bit more private.
We suddenly realize how much of our time is spent online and decide to stay away from social media for a couple weeks before starting the cycle again.
We have been slowly working our way south along the east coast towards Florida. After our stay up north, we are desperately in need of tropical weather and sunshine.
