As a candid photographer, this is a take many couples might not want to hear, but it is true. Despite all the guidance, direction, and posing, your photos will look stiff and awkward if you are not having a good time. "Be natural" might sound cliché, but at least be authentic. If a pose seems silly, laugh. If your partner says something funny, feel free to react to it. If you want to look at your partner while I instruct on a pose, do that! These natural interactions are very necessary for candid photos 😊

Laura & Chris's wedding happened at the beginning of this year, which means it was very cold. We planned for all the photos to happen indoors. The cold was not very fun to work with, haha. I am glad that we chose that route, because the photos just turned out so good. The window light, the moody aesthetic in the mirror, Laura's elegant look, and their chemistry with each other- it was all perfect! I am glad that, as a photographer, I made the best of their day and was able to utilize the light and scenery to their advantage.

If someone told me to photograph an entire engagement session or wedding just in bnw, that would probably make my day haha. There is something so intimate and classy about bnw photos. It draws your attention to the feel of the photo. I just love them so much!

The word that comes to my mind for Kyle & Madison is "simple". Simplicity in such a peaceful way is what I felt when I was with them. When I was photographing their engagement session, it truly felt like they were just happy to be there, enjoying spending time with each other. And I was just there capturing their sweetness.

Every year I set a goal for how many weddings at a minimum I want to do for the next season. I am very pleased that I just hit my goal for 2027 🎉 I am terrible wth celebrations and recognizing my own milestones, but this time I am going to make a point to do it. Ask me in a few days what did I do, so that I can be held accountable 🤪
