We had another 2 yo a couple weekends ago who was fiercely independent, except he would not allow me to take a picture of just him. We managed to get it after some trial and error, and gosh, look at his cute smile and those curls 😍!

This was at our Tree Farm Minis! And boy, were we lucky to have beautiful morning out on the farm. It was forecasted to be cloudy, but we got sun for this shoot!!

This is the first family of 7 I have had the privilege to capture, and they did not disappoint!

I got frustrated on this shoot because I was working with a brand-new camera that I thought I was ready to shoot with but goodness, it was a challenge on my end... but this family did not seem to mind (or maybe didn't notice)!! Finally upgrading my camera after 10ish years was very necessary... it was definitely needed when my old one started acting up!

This family though, all of the kids smiled and didn't mess around... and I even brought a surprise for them... peanuts to feed the chipmunks! And mom had the most fun feeding the chippies, the kids enjoyed it SO much too! We ended up hanging out until we had no more light left to shoot. It was such a joy to photograph them!

Here is another family that I've gotten to watch grow up! Although, only recently received the privilege of photographing them. It's so important to have fun at our shoots, and having the girls kiss mom is just hilarious for this fam... That oldest kid just is not down for that... it's just too funny! This year she at least faked kissing mom, last year she wouldn't even do that! :D

These two kiddos are the same age as my kids and have become friends with them through the years. And that pup... goodness is she adorable and was such a good girl at the shoot!

What do you do when a stubborn 2yo just doesn't want to look at the photographer and/or plays shy on purpose.... well, you keep on trying to 'give control' to said 2yo! And... Eventually you'll get that money shot! :D

This family, they have so much love for each other and gosh were the boys jealous of the littlest getting to call all the shots... but look at her smile by the end of the session (when she had 'control')!

This was another mini session from the Fall Minis. This ended just as golden hour was starting, and oh my goodness the last bit of their shoot had the best lighting!!

This family.... OMG, they were SOOOO FUN!!!

I think my favorite age group to photograph these days are teens/seniors! (Don't get me wrong, younger kids/families are fun too, but this older kid group is such a nice change of pace for me these days!!!)

It's the amazing that this business allows me to meet new families, like this one, and learn a little about them!

If you have an older family... DO A SHOOT... You'll want the memories later!!

SWOON... Look at this lovely family!

The Fall Minis fell on the PERFECT Fall Day!

I love this family so much and the fact that they take the time to travel to me for a mini session every couple years! It's amazing to connect with them and capture beautiful images for them every time!

PS, this is my favorite color of edits!!!
