A little about me!
1. I have six kids.
I always put this one first because it sets an honest expectation: life may look a little different for me than it does for other photographers. My days are full, my house is loud, and sometimes my work happens in the little pockets of time between motherhood. But I wouldnāt trade it for anything. Being a mother is a huge part of who I am, and it deeply influences the way I photograph families.
2. Iām all about connection over perfection.
Iād much rather capture the way your child naturally reaches for you than force everyone into a perfect pose.Ā The giggles, the cuddles, the windblown hair, the tiny hands, the moments you didnāt even realize were happening⦠those are often my favorites!
3. I'm from France!
I grew up in the french country side (think rolling green hills, clothes drying on the line, slow living and AMAZING food). While I also grew up in the US, alot of the french culture and "joie de vivre" is embetted in who I am. I don't "hustle" and I'm not a "boss babe"... I take great care and take the time to get things done well, with a CafƩ au lait in hand.
4. Iām a little obsessed with beautiful natural light.
Soft, dreamy, flattering light is one of my favorite ingredients in creating the Fig & Fawn look.
5. I love animals.
Before photography, I spent 12 years working as a veterinary assistant. So yes, your dog absolutely belongs in the family photos. š¾
6. Iām a beach girl at heart.
Give me a quiet beach, a beautiful sunset, and my family, and Iām happy.
7. I love things that feel timeless.
Iām drawn to soft neutrals, beautiful textures, simplicity, and photographs that wonāt feel dated years from now.
8. I believe your session should actually feel good.
I donāt want you spending an hour worrying about whether everyone is ādoing it right.ā I want you to relax, play, snuggle, laugh, and enjoy your people.
9. Iām probably going ask you to forget Iām there. Some of my favorite photographs happen when you stop looking at the camera and simply love on your family.
10. I want you to remember the feeling! Years from now, I hope your photographs take you right back to this season.
