A family portrait should be more than just a record of what the family looked like at that time. It should work to show the beauty of the people in that family; their uniqueness. It should bring back a flood of emotions and sentiments that were present and in a hundred years, when everyone in it is gone, a viewer could look at it and marvel at the love and commitment embodied in the portrait.

"A Young Marine" A portrait from a few years ago. The Marine was just out of boot and was headed to his specialty school. He was so proud to wear the uniform. I grew up in a Marine town. A lot of my high school teachers were retired from the corps and I learned a huge respect for these men of honor, and ladies. Semper Fi to all my Marine friends.

"Gettin' Razzied" Beautiful baby girl brought her daddy in for a portrait. I was just watching them have fun. Relationship portraits are more than just a pitchur of what someone looks like.
