Recently I had a conversation with a new bride who is still in the planning phases of her wedding. Her and her partner are STRESSED. They are stressed about timelines, they are stressed about budgets, they’re stressed about when to have the photos so it’s not so hot outside in Florida, everything about planning a wedding can seem overwhelming and stressful, especially in the beginning stages. You have no idea where to go to start this process.

We sat down yesterday and the first thing I tell ALL couples is, “This is YOUR day. Plan your wedding how you want to”. And I mean that. You want a ceremony at 9pm at night? Okay let’s do it. You want to jump in the pool at the air bnb during your reception instead of a sparkler exit? Bishhhh let’s make it happen. You want to take a shot at the alter instead of a sand pouring ceremony? I’ll bring the chasers!

When you hire me, you are not just getting a photographer. You are getting a professional with 15 years experience in the wedding industry, I’ve worked as a photographer and a wedding coordinator/planner. I do not do the coordinating side of the industry any more but I know the ins and outs, and even better I know the vendors and their specialties. I know budget ranges, who the better venues are, what catering companies are the best, all the tiny details, I got you. You’re not only getting a photographer with me, you’re getting a wedding day bff and an industry pro. The investment is not just for your photos, it’s for the experience and preservation of your memories. A vendor who does the most for their clients is going to be the vendor worth it investing in.

Let’s talk locations, and I don’t mean the field where you and your in-laws took photos at 3 years ago. Dig deeper. Where is a location that holds meaningful memories to you and your family? Is it hanging out at home in a space you built from love with your partner or at the beach location where your fiancé proposed? Do you want to take me along as a third wheel on your date? Invite me over while you both cook together and cuddle up around the fire in the backyard?

Whatever it is, I’m open to it! Long gone are the days as photographers where there were so many rules and limits. Bring back photos as preserving memories, a personal time capsule to your life. And stop worrying about what is trendy. Let’s do what’s Y O U

Want engagement photos that aren't boring or cookie cutter? Invite me along to third wheel with you and you fiancé's date day/night! I'm not going to sit next to you in Olive Garden and photograph you eating pasta, but we can frolick in a botanical garden, hike a mountain (I'll be in Denver again in September), get drinks at a beach dive bar and end with walking on the beach, the ideas and possibilities are endless. More fun, less stiff. Bring the vibes and the love, I can handle the rest.
