How does one summarize a full day wedding on the coast in just a few measly slides? Simple — you don’t (this one will be on the blog soon). 💌

Last year we put a call out into the void that is Instagram for anyone who’d want to get married on the Oregon Coast (one of our bucketlist locations) with us when Makenna + Jacob responded that they were game. Their families and friends traveled cross country, their dog came along for the adventure, there was morning “cold plunges” in the ocean, family breakfast, private vows in their pajamas, mama + sisters sharing one mirror to get ready like they used to, and honestly just a relaxed day planned with intention and love at its very core. It was everything we could have ever hoped to photograph and we can’t thank The Woodards enough for having us at their side. ✨

Sometimes my most favourite photos and moments don’t see the light of our instagram feed; not because I don’t think they’re worthy of being seen by others, but because they hold such a high value in my heart that I want to keep them for just myself for a little while longer. These are some of those photos + moments.

When I first met & Bo in 2021, they had won a randomized giveaway for a 1-hr. Couples Session and we became fast friends. When we met at her parents house, I had no idea that two years later (after many more sessions & not enough lunch dates) we’d be meeting there again where they’d be married.

Rachel repurposed her mama’s wedding dress as her own, got ready in her childhood room, married her Bo (“Boberto”) in their front yard, and then partied in the backyard. It was everything I’d ever want for my friend & now you all can see some of my favourite getting ready photos ever taken because they’re of her and she’s too beautiful to be locked up in my gallery.

Playing in their pastures of long green grass last summer; not unlike the grass he made a ring out of for her on their first date, because he knew from the start he’d be marrying her. Congratulations to my cousin (who doubles as my little sister figure) on her dreams coming true — we love you guys! 🌱
