Meet Mesquite, a 2-year-old German Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix with a goofy personality, a big heart, and a whole lot of potential.

Mesquite loves attention, treats, and being right by his people. He is smart, treat-motivated, and eager to learn, making him a great match for someone willing to continue his training and help build his confidence.

He has participated in playgroups and can get a little overly excited around other dogs, so slow introductions and consistent guidance will be important.

The shelter is still learning how Mesquite does with cats, small children, and small animals. With patience, structure, and plenty of time together, Mesquite has all the makings of a loyal adventure buddy who will happily become your biggest fan.

Meet Boots, a 6-year-old mountain cur mix with a big personality, a love for fetch, and a goofy side that is hard to miss.

Boots is active, playful, cuddly, and always ready for his next game. If there is a ball involved, he is all in. He is also housetrained and already knows commands including sit, down, no, and okay.

Boots likes to do things on his own time, so he would do best with older children who can match his energy while also respecting his space. He also needs to be the only dog in the home. And if you bring him toys, make them durable because Boots takes his toy-destroying hobby very seriously.

For the right person, Boots could be a fun-loving adventure buddy during the day and a cuddle companion once it is time to relax.
