Mid-September in the Tetons means the early yellows of fall are starting to make their appearance, and the weather is just right as the early snows start to coat the very tips of the mountaintops that seem to disappear into the clouds. There is so much beauty to be seen here anytime of the year, but fall is just one of my favorite times of year to photograph elopements here.

My last elopement in the Tetons for the year was absolutely incredible, this day with Addie and Brian was filled with so so much love, adventure, and of course some of the best mountainous scenery in the entire country!

My couple flew all the way from Maryland to get married in Wyoming. They stayed on the Idaho side in a stunning cabin, where everyone got ready. And just wait until you see Addie’s veil, it was the perfect addition to her whole bridal look!

Schwabacher Landing was such a picturesque spot for their ceremony, and we then headed out to do some adventuring around the park, and took some of the most beautiful bridals amongst jaw-dropping scenery (keep scrolling to see the most iconic Wyoming photobomb during their bridals at String Lake)!

For their dinner back at the Airbnb to finish the day off, they had Hibachi (and it was my first time having it and it was the most fun experience ever, and we had a rainbow greeting us in the sky as we ate and celebrated!

This September Schwabacher Landing Elopement in Grand Teton National Park had the perfect mix of everything for Addie and Brian’s day - I can’t wait to show you the photos from their day on my new blog post - the link is in my bio to check it out!

Happy first anniversary to these two! Last year at this time we were exploring the Sawtooths together, and got to experience such incredible scenery. Early June is one of my absolute favorite times to visit!

Maya and Finn have never been to this location before, yet the allure of the mountains and pristine forests and lakes drew them in all the way from Pennsylvania! When they arrived they were in awe of how quiet and peaceful it was!

We started at Mountain Village Resort for some detail photos. The weather was perfect, and we got the picturesque snow capped mountains framing the town 🏔️

They had an intimate ceremony with a small group of family, then after my couple shared their vows privately (after playing rock paper scissors 🪨🗒️ ✂️ to see who said them first), and skipped some rocks on the shoreline!

By this time we were ready for food, so I lead them to my favorite picnic spot on the area for a tailgate snack! 🧺

We ate dinner together with their families at Mountain Village, and then we all headed to Redfish Lake for a sunset cake cutting and a surprise dip in the lake! 🌊

“Karlie Larson was truly such a joy to work with. We actually found her through a Facebook search while looking for photos of our dream elopement location—and it felt like fate when we saw she had captured a surprise proposal at the exact spot. The images on her website completely drew us in. They were stunning, emotional, and exactly the vibe we had been hoping for. From that moment, we knew she was the one.

From our very first inquiry all the way through after our wedding day, Karlie was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and thorough. She has a way of being both wonderfully organized and genuinely warm, which made her feel less like a vendor and more like a longtime friend. She shared so many helpful resources with us, from checklists and location guides to vendor recommendations and shot list templates, which made planning our elopement feel so much easier and more enjoyable.

What stood out most was how much she cared about getting to know us as a couple. She was just as excited about our day as we were, and that meant so much. On the wedding day itself, Karlie struck the perfect balance, she guided us when we needed it, made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, and also gave us space to be present and soak it all in together. Our day felt seamless and special, and Karlie played a huge role in that.

At the end of a full day of shooting, she surprised us with a Polaroid snapshot from our adventure, such a thoughtful and personal touch. We were also blown away by how quickly she shared sneak peeks with us. Having those beautiful images to relive the day and share with family so soon after meant everything.

We truly can’t say enough good things about Karlie and the experience we had with her. Choosing her was one of the easiest and best decisions we made, and we would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone.

You are the best, Karlie!”

Recently delivered these two’s gallery and I get to photograph their reception today!

What is an elopement? 🤔

Elopements - you may have heard of this phrase more often recently. You keep seeing epic elopement photos of a couple in the mountains, or even an intimate gathering in a beautiful place. You may be wondering, is that a real wedding? What makes up an elopement?

Elopements are continuing to grow in popularity, so I wanted to break down what an elopement is, and explain the modern meaning and common myths in my new blog post!

Click the link in my bio to check it out! And if you have any questions about eloping, message me and I’d love to chat with you!
