Zili & Logan, again. Two kids from the other side of the mountains who found their home — and each other — on the east side. They got married at Palouse Ridge surrounded by the hills that became theirs, and it felt exactly right.

Zili & Logan 🤍

These two met at WSU sophomore year — weird in the best way, their words — and have been charmed by each other ever since. Seven years later, Logan proposed at the Browne's Addition overlook, the first neighborhood they called home together in Spokane. Zili didn't expect to cry. She cried.

They got married at Palouse Ridge with those gorgeous rolling hills behind them, a nod to Eastern Washington that became home for two kids who grew up on the other side of the mountains. The weather was perfect, the light was unreal, and dinner was Humble Burger. Honestly, a flawless day.

Documentary is my home base. But every once in a while, a styled shoot comes along and reminds me that creative exploration is part of the job too. Bright midday sun is one of those things photographers love to avoid but real weddings don't always cooperate, and that's okay.

Wesley is one. 🎂

I photographed Rose and Josiah's wedding. Then their maternity session. Then Wesley's newborn photos, his six month photos, and now this — one year old and absolutely done sharing his cupcake with anyone.

This is why I love doing family sessions alongside weddings. You don't just photograph a day, you get to photograph a whole life unfolding. Getting to show up for a family through all of it is one of my favorite things about this job.

Abby & Maddy at Gonzaga, right before they graduate and take on Seattle together.

These two were so sweet and so fun — the kind of people who make your job feel easy. We wandered around campus, laughed a lot, and made photos that I think are going to mean even more to them as the years go on.
