Model Call!! - Mallett’s Bay

I’m looking for a dog model for a session on a pontoon boat! Does your pup love to go boating? I’d love to hear from you, because this is about as close to a boat that my dogs have ever gotten 😂

Bonus points if you or someone in your family has a boater’s license and is willing to operate said pontoon boat for the session.

Another check on my photography bucket list - the *other* Moss Glen Falls! Over the winter I accidentally went to the wrong one because apparently there are two waterfalls with the same name?!

Anyway, Cedar was happy to model in exchange for beef liver and a splash in the water. She’s become quite the poser - dare I say better than my other golden girl Tulsi!

I have a good list of client work to edit but I couldn’t help working on this one from today’s spontaneous adventure first 🌲

Happy National Rescue Dog Day! I love that we have so many official days on the calendar to celebrate our pups. Not that we necessarily need a calendar date, I mean, let’s be honest here.

Here’s your semi-regular reminder to not wait to have your older pups photographed.

At almost 10 years old, Ivy is doing totally fine! Aside from her frequent visit to oncology to zap the pesky recurrent mast cell tumors, she’s her old sassy, spicy self.

My birthday was last week and all I asked my husband for was a morning with my dogs and my camera and no complaining from him 😆 I didn’t hear a peep and I got one of the best gifts from Mother Nature and Ivy, right here 🌸☀️

I’ll share more of our other pups too, but this old girl deserves a spot of her own.

As promised, the dogs of Wellington! co-hosted the Florida workshop with Shelley Paulson Photographyand she brought the DOGS. Well, she organized them, which I’d imagine is a lot easier than herding cats by the way 😝 There is a kitty in this post too, but I digress.

Our dog models were fantastic participants, some of them traveling quite a distance to have their photos taken. Others were a staple around the horse barns, spending their days hunting lizards, trotting around behind the horses as they worked, or guarding the property from wild hogs. All were absolutely lovely.

A few more faves from Shelley Paulson Photography’s Florida workshop, Circle in the Sun🐴🌴☀️

Despite a couple rainy sessions, with Shelley’s guidance we were able to make some really lovely images of amazing horses and ponies and their beautiful humans. It was an incredible learning experience and I especially loved working alongside so many talented photographers. The educational opportunities are endless at workshops with Shelley and co. and I’m already looking forward to the next one!

Hey, dog moms - it’s our day!! We may or may not have kids of the human kind, but these furbabies of ours take up just as much space in our hearts.

Let’s celebrate the bond we share with our pups today (like we do every day, duh!). Share something about the connection you have with your dogs that makes being a dog mom so fulfilling. Bonus points for photos!

Workshops with Shelley Paulson Photography never disappoint and this one in Florida was no exception. The horses, the people, the accommodations - chef’s kiss! (Speaking of chefs, the food is outstanding at a Shelley workshop too btw😋)

Our first of many magical sessions was at Eye Candy Land just as the sun was coming up and the fog was burning off. We had a plethora of amazing horses and riders to photograph in the morning light. And where there are equestrians, there are dogs too - much to my delight! Stay tuned for more images from the rest of my tropical spring getaway 🐴🌴☀️

Hey!! Long time no see! I’m still here, working on a little personal project that has absolutely nothing to do with photography 🙃 Stay tuned, I’ll share soon!
