In honor of Veteran's Day, we'd like to share a project we worked on earlier this year for Tri-State Warbird Museum.

It’s hard to put into words just how special it is to spend time with the precious few remaining veterans of WWII. Maybe a direct quote would be better.

“You hear people say often in tough times, ‘Someone should do something.’ But who is this mysterious ‘someone’? It’s you and you and you and me. It’s us.”— Dr. Albert Miller, seen in the second photo holding his original passport, which he recovered after escaping N**i Germany with his family in 1933.

Fluent in German, English and French, Dr. Miller would later return to Germany, but this time under the protection of the United States Army, interrogating N**is as one of the famed “Ritchie Boys.”

We feel so much gratitude and admiration for these individuals who—incredibly—would be the last to call themselves heroes, although that’s clearly and precisely what they are.

Thank you, Dr. Miller, Mr. Bob Doolan (RIP) and Mr. Joe Fitzwater for your service, your humor, your generosity of spirit, and the example you set as Americans and as humans.

And thanks as always to Tri-State Warbird Museum for preserving these stories for future generations. We’re honored to be part of your work.
