"'No reason to be concerned' they told us. Come on now; I wasn’t born yesterday. Whenever kangaroo populations start rising like they did, Parliament is always perfectly happy to declare open season. Just like clockwork. A shame it had to happen in my lifetime. I hated leaving my home, but with the little one on the way, staying wasn’t an option."
