Harvest echo.
Just completed this larger painting based on painting and photos from my trip to Italy. I have to stop at some point. There seems to be infinite possibilities for improving a painting but I have too many other ideas to paint. 😊

I went to Scott Milo Gallery to see the current exhibition and deliver a few more paintings, since the one they had were already sold. And since I was in the area I stopped by Deception Pass State Park to paint. It was an overcast day and no strong shadows I picked something that required strong drawing.

Now that I am done posting paintings from the trip I can start catching up on posting paintings I’ve done since I got back home. 😊 Here is one I did close to sunset at Elk Fields. You can see the general shapes I captured in pleinair and you can see how accurately I captured the color. That’s the most important part of pleinair. And then I refined details at home.
