It's not easy being a teenager. So many big feelings, learning how to be your own person and how to navigate the world. Today's teens are definitely learning different lessons than we did in our teens and it is hard.

In my experience I have found it to be a unique challenge to make a connection with all kids, but with teens sometimes they only give you the smallest bit and you have to take it and run. But not these ladies...

They made the most of this session and it translates perfectly in every image. So much goodness captured in this amazing session. ❤️

Everything old is new again…

Film photography was/is a carefully crafted art. Where precise skill, knowledge and technique mattered to produce a quality image. This has been lost in the digital world. Not only in the exposure in camera but also in the film and print development. Developing film and printing was an almost therapeutic experience for the artist as well. One I miss.

Glad I never got rid of my film gear. ❤️

A lot can be said about marriage. Each one being unique to each couple alone. But it's the ones who are unapologetically themselves that make for a really fun journey.
