It was a pleasure to get to take pictures at tonight’s Rise Recovery St. Louis event. If you’re unfamiliar with Rise they are a local non-profit recovery program that is Christ centered and helps women recover from addiction.

Proceeds from tonight’s auction and silent auction go towards continuing the day to day functions and needs of the ministry.

If you’re looking to help check out their website.

You can also check this registry for specific ministry needs. As the year ends if you or someone you know are looking for a way to give back this is a wonderful place that could use your help.

Some friendships survive the fire, sometimes that fire is Girl Scouts, elementary playgrounds, jr high and high school drama clubs, and College Moves, cross country moves, marriages, and dreams coming true. So we had to capture a picture of the 🌪️’s realest, the class of 11’s terrors, the OG’s (and Tim).

We got to celebrate our friends Holly and Ken who have had quite the journey to get here, but are welcoming a little boy in August!

Always good to get together with old friends especially when we can celebrate life’s milestones!

We can’t wait to meet little Mr, and the newest member of our little peewee football team we’re putting together!

Last year for Mother’s Day, my wife really wanted a chaos garden—which is really just a wildflower pollinator bed. So, with the help of some good friends, we dug out the old garden and planted wildflowers.

When we bought the house a few years ago, it came with a beautiful bunch of Tiger Lilies that bloom like clockwork every June. And let me tell you—they’ve loved the weather lately (even if I’m out here sweating to capture them 📸).

Jump to this year, and now those Tiger Lilies have made their way into her pollinator garden! 🌸🌿

Absolutely stunning—had to snap a few shots of what’s blooming right now!

Was honored to get to take some pictures of this sweet reunion with my wife’s family over the weekend.

Still getting used to my new camera, so being able to capture this sweet family moment was a treasure. 🙂

Hello everyone, thanks for following my page! You can follow me on this journey of creativity that I am embarking upon.

Why Far Country?

In the Christian faith, many of us are familiar with the far country—the place where the prodigal son wandered after asking for his inheritance early. It was a land of self-inflicted hardship, distance from home, and eventual brokenness.

But it was also a place of transformation.

In the far country, the prodigal was humbled. And when he returned home, expecting shame, he was instead embraced—welcomed back with open arms by a father full of grace and love.

Whether or not you know the story of the prodigal son, you’ve probably felt what it’s like to be lost—stuck in a place where hope feels far away, and growth seems impossible. Sometimes we need to return to where we started, just to catch our bearings and remember who we are.

That story of return is at the heart of Far Country Media.

We aim to create thoughtful content, compelling designs, and meaningful social media interactions that speak to the transformation found in the far country. Through storytelling, creativity, and authenticity, we want to look honestly at the world and reflect the light and love of Christ back into culture.

What a Saturday, got to spend some time at the first Collinsville Card Show. I'm such a nerd I've been playing pokemon since I was like 6 years old and been watching my kid get so excited about Pokemon and he's only 2? Wild! Got to meet some cool vendors, drink some yummy coffee and play a claw machine?!? We'll definitely be back.
