In April 1942- The Bataan Death March was the forcible transfer by the Imperial Japanese Army of around 72,000 to 78,000 Filipino and American prisoners of war.

Yesterday Canadian military members and civilians went down to New Mexico to attend the annual memorial march. At a peak of 37°C during a heat wave and in direct sunlight, these folks walked nearly 30k through the desert.
