Product work for and . These bags are handmade from repurposed fishing netting and recycled plastic, and they also provide job opportunities for those with employment barriers.

One of the things we work together on is what kind of product photography is best for your brand. Minimal, aka just products on a white background, works best for eCommerce. Styled works best for showing the product with a few stylistic props to evoke a feeling or association with the product. Environmental, aka the product being used as designed, is awesome for evoking feelings and the desire for a lifestyle with your products, as well as showing how they’re used. In this case, ’s recycled material bags being worn in a greenhouse evokes feelings of organic living and appreciation for the earth.

Look, I get it. Social media’s ever-changing trends & marketing strategies can be super discouraging, especially when social media is an extension of your small business. It’s easy to blame ~The Algorithm~ for low reach, uninterested audiences, and other problems. But what if I told you the best way to build your brand on social media is actually super simple?
Social over media. Instagram & Facebook started as a way to connect with others, so bring that back into the equation! Genuine & personal interactions, consistency in posting, and showing up as yourself on posts & stories (yes, that means with your face and your voice) will draw others to you and what you have to offer. Remember, technology changes, but people don’t.

Branding photos for the immensely talented amymartinmusic. When Amy reached out to do a branding session, I looked up her work the way I do with every new branding client and was immediately hooked.
Amy’s sound is mystical yet grounded in the spirit of old school Americana. She had just released her first solo album and moved from Virginia to Boulder a few months before. On top of that, her second solo album is being produced by none other than Grammy winning .
Amy wanted photos that celebrated her decision to move west, but also celebrated her Appalachian roots. We worked together on a moodboard that juxtaposed wild & free images with captivatingly stern vintage Appalachian portraits.
Working with Amy was a joy — I was deeply reminded why I pursued a career as a creative and I’m so grateful Amy included me in her journey. (P.S. Shoutout to Boulder for showing up and showing OUT with that incredible light).

I’ve been shooting for almost 5 years now, but I didn’t start shooting branding work until January 2019. The garden center I cashiered at in college was looking for a photographer to shoot for their instagram, and I offered my services. Just a year later, they had to drastically change how they did business to accommodate for Covid-19. Through 2020, I saw how much of a difference good photos and a solid social media strategy made for them. I also saw how many other artists and small businesses were struggling to adapt to a much more virtual marketplace. So, at the end of 2020 through to the beginning of 2021, I opened up a branch of my photography business dedicated exclusively to the people who needed it most. It has been such a gift to meet so many wonderful and hardworking business owners & creatives. I’m grateful for this work every dang day!
