It's been a lot of USAFA family content over here lately, but that's not all I do! 😉

Most recently, I had the sweetest senior session with Bailey. We gathered her favorite books (don't miss that last pic!) and chased a break in the storm clouds at Monument Rock.

I just love how these turned out! 🤩

I loved every moment of tonight’s mini sessions and couldn’t go to bed without sharing a sneak peek for each fam! 🤩

Thank you so much to every family who joined me. I don’t think seeing cadets reunite with their people will ever get old… so many laughs and happy faces tonight! 🥰

What a fun month! 🎉

We kicked it off with a camping trip in Aspen and ended by cheering on our hometown team in Denver.

In between, we enjoyed family movie night, homemade peach pie, and back to school fun.

September will bring Parents' Weekend mini sessions and the first ever Milspouse Photographer Retreat. I cannot wait! 🙌🏻

And while I definitely plan on spoiling these ladies, I won’t be spoiling any surprises. 😉

We've lived in four states in the last five years and have quickly found our favorite treats in each place.

I'm still not over leaving Graeter's in Ohio 😭, but Colorado Springs has been growing on me... starting with these three.

If you're out here for USAFA Parents Weekend this fall, save this. And if you're a military family who just moved here, welcome... you definitely deserve a treat! 😉

Every time I photograph a promotion or retirement and the honoree is on a stage, I put my trusty 70-200 to work. Because while it feels like standing close to the stage would give me the best shots, it actually doesn’t.

Instead, it gives the people on stage double chins and forces them to look down at me in any standard looking-and-smiling shots. 🫠

Not what I’m going for.

With the 70-200, I’m able to stand in the back of the auditorium on even ground with the stage, while still getting close-up shots... all while not blocking the view of any guests! It’s really a win-win-win.

Next time you’re photographing in an auditorium, keep this in mind. Just be sure you give the honoree and officiant a heads up beforehand so they know where to look for you!

USAFA Parents’ Weekend mini sessions officially sold out in just over 24 hours.

I’ve literally NEVER booked mini sessions that quickly before. 🤯

So first of all, thank you. 🤍

I love being a part of the USAFA community and am so excited to meet so many new families over Parents’ Weekend.

Now, because so many of you have been asking, I’m opening a second date on Monday, September 7th from 6:00-7:00 PM near Polaris Hall.

Cadets will be returning to campus before saying goodbye to their families, which makes it a perfect last moment to capture before the weekend ends.
