She picked a dress with lace details. He matched his shirt to the tiny pink flowers on their baby girl’s outfit. And we chose a sheet backdrop that tied it all together — soft, textured, and intentional.
We found a quiet little spot in Colorado Springs — clear view of Pikes Peak, just the three of them and the light.
And every time dad would hold her out, those tiny arms reached straight for mama. She just started saying her name. 🥹
This is what I love about coordinating every detail beforehand — the outfits, the location, the textures — so the whole session feels like a story instead of just a photo day.

Something I’ve been noticing in 2026 wedding design — the florals are getting more interesting.

Less symmetrical. More wild. Anthuriums next to orchids next to grapes next to something you can’t quite name. The kind of arrangement that looks like it grew that way.

And the layering — the etched glassware over the wood charger over the textured linen — that’s what gives a tablescape dimension. Each layer adds something the one beneath it doesn’t have alone.

When design is this considered, every detail earns its place in the frame.
This is the kind of table I slow down for. 🤍

The details were intentional. The venue was chosen for a reason. The veil — dramatic on purpose.

When you arrive with a vision board and a florist who has been planning the florals for months — I get quiet and just pay attention.

Because my job isn’t to direct the story. It’s to make sure none of it goes undocumented.
