I wanted to hop on here and let you all know that I will be doing a second set of fall mini sessions on 10/10 at Bear Creek Park in Colorado Springs. These mini sessions are being held as a fundraiser for a cause near and dear to my heart. Many of you already know, but I am a member of Star Legacy Foundation - Colorado Chapter. We provide support and resources to families that experience infant loss. On a national level, we also contribute to research that aims to reduce/prevent stillbirth. All proceeds from these sessions will be donated to Star Legacy Foundation. I will start with 8 slots available between 4-6pm. If those fill up, I will open more.

It would mean the world to me to have these sell out. Miscarriage and stillbirth are things we tend not to discuss because it's not a pleasant topic. Many parents feel like they can't talk about the babies they don't get to hold, because it's a sad subject. That leaves most of us feeling like our babies never existed. These are children that are loved and wanted. They are the siblings to our living children. They are the people we think about late at night, wondering how their laugh would sound. They are a piece of us that we never want to forget, but society tells us we shouldn't talk about. That grief is heavy, and families often struggle without a solid support network for postpartum care after loss. We aim to give them somewhere to land. A place to find community, and connect them with the resources that do exist to make life after loss a little easier. We can't do that work without the help of the public.

Maybe you are a loss parent that wants to contribute in honor of your baby. Maybe you know someone who has lost a child. Chances are, you do. 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage. 1 in 150 are stillborn. I am hosting these sessions with the goal that I can provide many local families with beautiful new photos, while also supporting a cause that helps other families through their darkest moments.

Price: $250 ($75 discount off my normal mini price)

You will receive 10 fully edited images, with the option to purchase more (those proceeds will also be donated).

We will also be hosting a viewing party for our annual family summit earlier that day at Cheyenne Mtn. Library. There will be light refreshments and lots of resource discussion for loss families. Feel free to stop by at your leisure.

Spent the day in NoCo visiting a friend and helping her put her nursery together for baby boy arriving soon! I will be responding to messages and emails tomorrow after my newborn session. Stay tuned for her gorgeous maternity photos!

I love this family so much! That little girl was just a tiny bump in her mama's belly when I first met them. It is such a privilege to be able to watch their kids grow up year after year.
