“Dads and Daughters”~ MaRynn Taylor

Shooting the first dances at weddings is always one of my favorite parts of the celebration. It also provides some of my favorite photographs. Here are a few more from the Matthew and Rachel’s wedding.

I also want to take a moment and highlight
This was my first time shooting at this venue, and I absolutely loved it. The space is thoughtfully arranged and decorated, there is plenty of room for dancing (and taking pictures of dancing), easy access to the bar, the DJ booth and the restrooms. The cherry on top was the staff. Super friendly, detail-oriented, fun and professional.
Why am I raving about a venue, you ask? Because I have shot in dozens of them, and this one is exceptional.

February was a busy month for wedding photography, with three weddings in three very different locations…

#1 Buena Vista, CO: Seth and Katherine were amazing clients to work with, and we captured some really fun 1940s vibes. I’ll post more more this album after the edits are done!

#2 Colorado Springs, CO: A couple years ago, I met Madeleine while shooting her sister’s wedding. When Andrew and Madeleine got engaged, I had the pleasure of shooting their engagement, then recently their wedding!

#3 Yosemite, CA! : Janessa and Reath had originally planned a traditional wedding for April, but after some covid concerns, they decided to elope in Yosemite National park! After a small, intimate ceremony with a few close friends, we traveled around to a few of the best spots (the ones that we could access with road closures and snow) and shot some couple/solo shots.
