In my personal work, documentary style is my favorite. Not posing my kids, not prompting them to go somewhere or do something, not telling them to smile… just being an observer, and capturing who they are right then. Dressing up and posing for photos is lovely, but I’m wanting to document (in my life and other’s) the knee socks your five year old yanks up to mid-thigh with his monochrome outfit, the missing and crooked teeth before braces, and families laughing over p**p jokes or playing tag. Basically, I’m looking for a family living their everyday life, ignoring me as much as possible, but I live in Colorado now... so with a beautiful backdrop.

I need to expand my portfolio showcasing photographs and sessions that are here... with these mountains! All the photos here are mine, but taken in Virginia.

I am looking for 2 model families in COS to help me shoot locations that match the following:
1. Can IGNORE me - this is easier said than done.
2. Will not stress about their kids being kids.
3. Can follow styling advice given, but don't need perfection in photographs... I'm looking for real.

I’ll get:
-rights to the photos to use on website, advertising, in a portfolio, or wherever I need to use them
You’ll get:
-a free session (around an hour)
-5 free images of your choice from your gallery
-the ability to purchase the rest of your gallery at a heavily discounted rate
-evidence of mom, and of your family living real life

I got some exciting news last week… After countless hours creating a portfolio of 150 images, years of drooling over photography by click pro elite photographers, tons of self doubt and imposter syndrome, so many messages with the amazing and her encouragement and attention to detail, lots of field trips and “wait let me grab my camera” with my family, a really productive but not complete 365 with , pestering my family and family to look at THIS version of my portfolio, and a pair of blue light glasses from Aldi, I am honored to say I’m now a click pro elite!
