Build Log 2/2. There is nothing better in my fleet to carry a gopro. I love the white TPU that has held up 2 years and still looks white.
I love the 6S power with the Imperial motors. I love the digital video, and I feel like the antenna is up and away, so I get great signal in all orientations and at range. I love that I can double the size of the battery, and it's not as acrobatic, but I can fly a solid 8 minutes with no props in shot. Still don't feel the need to change a thing.

Build Log. I built this FPVCYCLE Gilde in the spring of 2022 and haven't felt the need to build another 5 inch since. It is basically a Bob Roogi build with stuff from his store. Used his hex file to start with, but I have upgraded betaflight to 4.3 since, and it flies even better.

The NewBeeDrone Brushless v2 was flying great but I am very curious to see how it flies on NewBeeDrone Azi (Tri-Blade) 40mm Micro props with the 75mm cockroach frame. I didn't have to make any mods or changes to make it work. The battery pigtail was a bit of a stretch but that's it. Can't wait to see how it flies.

Finally finished building out a TP3 from FPVCYCLE. Thought this would be a good time to try out the new CADDX ANT LITE 4:3 FPV CAMERA - FPVCYCLE EDITION. So far picture is good and comparable to the nano. it didn't fit the newbeedrone mount as perfectly as I had hoped though. The lens base runs into the front of the mount before the clips on the side can pop into place but just barely...like less than a millimeter.

I also decided to try the Flywoo Goku GN413S toothpick AIO stack instead of going with the recommended stack because...I dunno LEDs. This thing has a lot of them. Since the USB connector is on the bottom I had to flip board orientation 180 degrees in betaflight and then of course I had to remap all the resources to the right motors before reversing motor direction on two motors in blheli. So far the FC seems to be working great. I just put Bob's PIDs on BF 4.1 that it came with and it flies great. The VTX on the other hand is likely to get the boot. There were horizontal noise/interference lines in the video and overheating after 30 seconds or so. I will probably replace with a TBS Unify pro 32 as usual.

The latest in a long line of whoops arrived just in time especially now that we have snow outside again.
The NewBeeDrone Brushless v2.
I counted 14 working whoops not including Tinkyhawk and the like. I also counted 25 broken tinywhoop frames which gives you an idea of how many I have built in total. Cant wait to try this one out. My two favorite whoops to fly at the moment are the Mobula 6 and the Brushless AcroBee but the AcroBee was the heavier of the two. This V2 should be lighter and more comparable to the Mob6 in terms of flight characteristics than the V1.

Trying to tune the 7 inch and testing Dal foldable 7 inch props proved to be a bad idea. After doing a yaw spin the prop exploded and I lost two blades and found a Bush. No major damage just some sand in the motors so it will be back in the air soon...This is why I test these thing so thoroughly before I ever do a full send. This crash happened less than 20 feet off the ground and about 40 paces from where I was standing...I would have been much more perturbed if I had to walk 2 miles to get it back.

Finally finished a one minute of my Cinewhoop footage from the river. For this mobile edit I tried an app called Motion Ninja. It was pretty good for a mobile editing app but it took forever to try to line up music and video because the audio kept skipping and desyncing. Pretty happy with the footage but in hindsight I should have used an ND8 instead of a 4 but I wanted to make sure the underbrush was properly exposed.

Five33 Tiny Trainer with DJI FPV 160g.

I decased the Caddix Vista and used the DJI RC link to save weight. Also no added LEDs and no canopy which makes it a little less sexy I admit but it flies amazingly well. Corners really well with the under slung battery and got more than 3 minutes of hard flight. 🤞hope it doesn't overheat 🤔 Wish we had races around here 😥 so I could test it properly.
