💦 WANT TO BE ONE OF MY FIRST THREE? 🌊

OK GUYS! IT’S HAPPENING.

After months of shooting, learning, experimenting and basically OBSESSING over underwater portraiture, I’m officially bringing it to Colorado Springs!

Before I launch at full pricing, I’m looking for THREE of you to be my first official underwater clients... and I’m GIFTING each of you my $900 underwater creative session fee.

$900 session fee = $0. 💦

You’ll get the FULL experience: planning + styling, plenty of time in the water, and all the posing and direction from me. You do NOT need to know what you’re doing underwater. 😂 That’s my job.

Afterward, we’ll meet for your private reveal where you’ll choose the images and artwork you love. Images and artwork are purchased separately, with no obligation to purchase anything you don’t love.

You don’t need to be a model.
You don’t need to know how to pose.
You definitely don’t need to hold your breath for three minutes. 😂

Just be comfortable in the water, willing to play, and ready to see yourself in a completely different way.

This is why family photography matters so much. ❤️
Grappling with the news this morning that one of the beautiful women in the first photograph is no longer here with us.
And suddenly these aren't just pictures from a family session. They are part of this family's history. They are a way to remember her face, her smile, the way she loved her people and the way they loved her.
This is also why family sessions are SO important.
Here are a few more recent family images! When you hire me for a family session, we are going to get it ALL - of course we'll get the big everyone-looking-at-the-camera family portrait. But we're not stopping there.
Mom with the kids. Dad with the kids. Mom and Dad together. Grandparents with their grandchildren. All the kids together. Individual portraits of every child. Siblings. Couples. Little combinations you may not even think to ask for.
And then all the in-between moments. The laughing. The hugs. The chaos. The way your child reaches for you. The way Grandma looks at her grandchildren.
I work quickly and I shoot A LOT because I want to give you a giant, beautiful body of work of your family exactly as you are right now.
Because someday, one of those photographs may mean more than you ever imagined it would.
Take the pictures. Get everyone together. Get Grandma in the frame. Get Mom in the frame. Don't wait until everyone loses ten pounds or schedules calm down or life feels less chaotic.
These photographs only become more valuable with time. ❤️

ME again. 😂💙

Turns out getting on the OTHER side of the camera underwater is one hell of a lesson.

Nothing moves the way you expect it to. Your dress has a mind of its own. Your hair has a mind of its own. Your body is trying to float while you're trying to sink, pose, point your toes, look relaxed AND remember that breathing is apparently important. 😂

And yet… when it all comes together, it feels like flying.

I am learning SO MUCH by getting in the water myself — especially about what I need to do to help YOU feel comfortable, safe and absolutely magical down there.

And I am completely, utterly obsessed with this new adventure. 💙

Walk down these stairs and you enter an entirely new reality 🌊✨ 🌊💙

Late one night after some wine, we decided to grab our masks and snorkels and get in the water right here. And guess what we found just a few feet from these stairs?

An OCTOPUS. 🐙

Just hanging out with a crab, both of them swaying back and forth in the ocean current - and both seemingly VERY curious about the two ridiculous humans who had decided to come visit them after dark. 😂

They stayed with us forever, genuinely curious, coming closer, watching us, almost like they wanted to play.

There is just SO MUCH LIFE beneath the surface. I will never, ever get tired of going down there to see what I can find. 💙

This is a TOUGH one for me.

Last week’s shoot with Mady was just… incredible. I keep sneaking away from the edits I’m supposed to be working on 😂 to work on another image from this session because I am still in complete disbelief at what we created.

The light. The movement. The bubbles. THAT BLUE. 😭

P.S. Can I just say how much I admire this woman?! She spends most days of the week IN SURGERY. Like… cutting people open, blood and guts and all the things 😂 and healing them, making them better. And I just think that is so cool.

There is something I love about getting these incredibly accomplished, powerful women in front of my camera and getting to photograph another side of them.
