This photo looks like hope and a warm hug to me, which are both things I need more of in this season. Grateful to Jesus tonight for the gift of golden hour and sunset walks with my husband over the long weekend.

I'm happiest in the great outdoors with my honey.🥰

I could have spent the rest of the summer reading and swimming and boating at the lake, but alas, the real world calls. Maybe one day. Thankful for a few days with family to rest and relax and make memories.☀️

P.S. RIP to all the bugs that met a fast and fateful end on the windshield of our car during the cross-country trek.😬😂

A month ago my best friend came to visit and we spent a very chilly day driving through the mountains to my favorite day trip spots in Colorado.

It's easy to let a long drive or the uncertain weather keep you from adventuring, but I say when in doubt, just go. Even if you end up sitting in your car at the edge of a gorgeous lake while you wait for the storm to pass. Enjoy the beauty either way.⛰️ The only trips I've regretted are the ones I didn't take.☺️
