A few highlights from Megan’s senior session. 🤍

Some senior sessions are about capturing what a girl looks like at this moment in her life. Others give you the chance to capture who she is.

Megan brought her easel and paints to her session, and I had the privilege of watching her create a beautiful flower scene right before my camera. Knowing that she has earned national awards for her artwork made the moment even more special, but seeing the focus, creativity, and joy on her face as she painted was something I’ll never forget.

And then, just like that, we traded the paintbrush for the discus. 🎨🥏

Megan is proof that you don’t have to fit into just one box. She’s an accomplished artist, a talented athlete, and a young woman with so many passions and gifts.

I love that we were able to capture more than beautiful portraits. We captured a little piece of what makes Megan, Megan.

A little something I’m celebrating this week… 🤍📸

I was so honored to be selected as SeniorInspire’s Photographer of the Week!

Being recognized by other photographers is such a special encouragement, but what made this feature especially meaningful was reading these words:

“There’s something pretty cool about finding a photographer you haven’t been following and immediately thinking, ‘Okay, I need to keep an eye on this person.’”

That one made me smile. 🥹

I’m incredibly grateful for every senior and family who has trusted me to create these portraits, and for the opportunity to keep growing, creating, and telling their stories through photography.

Back to "Old" School- Part 2

This is where our AGP team session got really fun… because we got caught in the rain! ☔️😂

We wanted to continue our “Back to Old School” theme and bring in a little more of that Ivy League, old-academia feel, so we headed to the cobblestone for a completely different look. 📚✨ BACK TO SCHOOL… OLD SCHOOL! ✨📚

For our first AGP Class of 2027 Senior Rep Team photoshoot, we went somewhere that was practically made for our theme, Ivywild School in Colorado Springs.

Built in 1916, Ivywild served its community for more than 90 years before closing in 2009. A few years later, the historic school was given a whole new life, transformed into the unique community gathering space, marketplace, restaurants, brewery, and gathering spaces it is today, while keeping so much of the character and history of the original school.

We leaned into an academia-inspired, back-to-school theme, incorporating books, classic school details, creativity, and each senior’s own personality. I wanted these images to feel a little nostalgic, a little editorial, and completely them.

Because senior portraits shouldn't just be about taking pretty pictures. They should tell a story about who you are right now — your interests, your creativity, your friendships, and this little chapter of life that you'll never get back.

And these kids absolutely brought the creativity! 🤍

This was only our first team photoshoot, and I already know we're going to look back at these images years from now and remember the laughs, the rain, the craziness, and the beginning of an amazing senior year together.
