Epic Mountain wedding this past October.

Earlier this month I shot my last wedding in a tiny mountain town still untouched by the crowds of civilization spreading through Colorado. Pretty epic way to bid farewell with an adventurous couple willing to get up at sunrise and hike up a mountain side when it was 20F. Cheers to you two and your grand adventure! 😃

I had the honor of photographing this amazing couple at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort this last week. The groom works with animals from all over the world, formerly at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and now at the Fresno Zoo & Wildlife Refuge. One of his friends brought a couple of her rescued hawks from her Raptor Refuge to fly the rings into the couple during the ceremony! African Vulture Hawk pictured here. More to come on that later!!!

Mid day photo I took back in September:) I used a couple of remote flashes to illuminate the bride & groom. I hadn't shot the rock towers from this angle before and it turned out great I think!😃

I so rarely ever check or post on social media anymore. For the few that see this I hope you enjoy the beauty of the snow falling on the peaks in the background as the suns slips away. Yes it was freezing cold, windy and this amazing couple endured it without complaint. I used a 16-35 mm lens with 2 off camera flashes.
