To know me is to know that I don't scare easily, but this house, all my life has made my skin crawl in ways my body simply knows but my mind can't articulate without creating a story akin to Grimm's.

or permanent.

Some are made again tomorrow.
Or in an hour.
Or in the quiet space
between breaths.

This is about choosing to stay.
Not once, but repeatedly,
when the world feels
like it is leaning toward destruction.

Sometimes staying isn’t a milestone.
It’s a series of small, stubborn promises,
resolutions,made again and again, whispered while the dark seeks the light.
